Accessibility Statement

Last updated: August 2026

At The Ridge Practice, we are committed to making both our website and our counselling services as accessible and welcoming as possible.

We recognise that accessibility means different things to different people. Whether you have a physical disability, a sensory impairment, a neurodivergent condition, or simply have preferences that would make your experience more comfortable, we encourage you to let us know. We will always do our best to make reasonable adjustments wherever we can.

Using our Website

We aim to make our website accessible by:

  • using clear, easy-to-read language

  • maintaining good colour contrast and readable fonts

  • ensuring the website works across desktop, tablet and mobile devices

  • using clear page headings and navigation

  • providing alternative text for images where appropriate

We are continually reviewing and improving our website and welcome feedback on how we can make it more accessible.

Visiting The Ridge Practice

Our counselling room is located on the ground floor.

Step-free access can be provided if required. If you would benefit from this, please let us know before your appointment so we can make the necessary arrangements.

There is a toilet available for clients during appointments.

Parking is available on site for clients. The practice is attached to a private residence, and we will provide parking information when confirming your appointment.

Please note that the driveway is steep. If you would like any assistance when arriving or leaving your appointment, please let us know in advance and we will be happy to help.

Assistance dogs are welcome.

Online Appointments

We also offer online counselling appointments, which can provide a more accessible option for clients who are unable to travel, have mobility needs, health considerations, caring responsibilities, or simply prefer to attend therapy from home.

If you have any specific requirements that would help you access online sessions more comfortably, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them.

Alternative Formats and Adjustments

If you have difficulty accessing information on this website, or require information in a different format, please contact us. We will do our best to provide information in a way that meets your needs where reasonably possible.

If there is anything that would make attending therapy more comfortable or accessible for you, we encourage you to discuss this with us before your appointment. We understand that everyone's needs are different and will always do our best to support you.

Contact Us

If you experience any accessibility barriers while using this website, or have suggestions for how we can improve accessibility, we'd be grateful to hear from you.
