Counselling sessions cost £60

Psychotherapy sessions cost £90 for individuals and £150 for couples.

We don’t offer discounts because every individual is assured the same level of expertise, value, time and attendance.

Your session is yours and lasts 50 minutes. If you need a break or wish to stop early, please let your Therapist know. You will still be charged for the whole session.

It’s really difficult to answer this as each individual’s reasons for seeking therapy is different.  Your circumstances are unique to you.  A minimum of between 4-6 weekly sessions will offer a good therapy foundation.  You and your Therapist will discuss a plan and timeline together and review along the way. Long-term therapy is available.

No, you are able to self-refer to The Practice privately.

As professional Therapists we are bound by the NCPS and BACP Code of Ethics (read about this here: https://nationalcounsellingsociety.org/about-us/code-of-ethics and https://www.bacp.co.uk/search?q=code%20of%20ethics) .

The therapy space is safe and confidential – what you tell your Therapist is between you and them. However, there are some important exceptions. For example, confidentiality may need to be broken if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others or where, by law we are required to report any disclosure of abuse or historical or planned illegal activity. We would always discuss this with you first.

Therapists may make brief clinical notes where they consider them appropriate to support your therapy. Any notes are kept securely, stored in accordance with GDPR requirements and our ICO registration, and retained only for as long as legally and professionally required.

Yes, we have full practice and indemnity insurance.  All our Therapists hold an enhanced DBS certificate.  Therapists have individual monthly supervision to ensure they are working safely and ethically. We do discuss cases in supervision – client identity and personal details are kept anonymous.

We all need a break from time to time. We will give you notice of any breaks we intend to take and it will be helpful if you can do the same. This will then allow us to factor in any work in therapy needed either side of the break to ensure you feel OK.

Your first session is an opportunity to get to know your Therapist and talk about what has brought you to therapy. Together, you'll explore what you hope to gain from counselling or psychotherapy, ask any questions you may have, and decide whether you feel the therapeutic relationship is the right fit. There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with.

Yes. We offer both face-to-face and online therapy, depending on your individual circumstances. We'll discuss the most suitable option with you when you enquire.

If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice will be charged in full.

Most clients begin with weekly sessions, as this provides consistency and allows the therapeutic relationship to develop. As therapy progresses, you and your Therapist can discuss whether a different frequency would better suit your needs.

Both Therapists offer different approaches and areas of expertise. If you're unsure who would be the best fit, we're happy to talk through your needs and help you decide before you book your first appointment.
